Michigan Pharmacists Association (MPA) was established Nov. 14, 1883. MPA is the state professional society serving Michigan’s pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and student pharmacists in all settings of practices. For more than 130 years, MPA has strived to provide its members with the tools, resources and support needed to advance the profession of pharmacy and provide quality patient care.
The mission of MPA is to serve members by providing support, advocacy and resources that ultimately improve patient care, safety, health, and the practice of pharmacy.
MPA, as the leader of pharmacy professionals in Michigan, is the premier source of professional development, information and practice innovations. Through the active involvement of its diverse members, MPA is an influential force in developing health policy and optimizing patient health, safety, and medication management.

To fulfill its mission, MPA provides its members with practice section and local association connections, as well as services from its diverse affiliates and councils. Our Strategic Plan
MPA’s strategic plan outlines the goals of the Association to ensure that its objectives and the needs of its members are met. MPA has a reputation for being one of the most innovative state professional pharmacy organizations. Thoughtful strategic planning, dedicated members and strong leadership commitment are key reasons the Association remains a viable force within the state of Michigan and to our profession.
