Legislative Day
Registration for the 2010 MPA Legislative Day, March 24, 2010, is available online.
Held each spring, Legislative Day allows pharmacy professionals to work with legislators to address policies and formulate an achievable and effective method for implementing a proactive approach to health care. In the complex world of health care, the exchange of information between legislators and practitioners is critical. Legislative Day is designed to break the barriers of communication and develop open dialogue between pharmacists and lawmakers and well as provide important updates from the Department of Community Health, the Bureau of Health Professions and Board of Pharmacy. Continuing education is usually offered.

Pharmacy PAC Luncheon
An event that takes place at the annual MPA Annual Convention and Exposition, the Pharmacy PAC Luncheon presents an opportunity for members to meet legislators and key individuals who are helping to advance the profession of pharmacy. Awards are presented to individuals and legislators who have been instrumental in advancing pharmacy.
Voting and Elections
In order for Pharmacy PAC to be effective in advocating for the profession, MPA members need to be involved at the most basic level of government. If you are not registered to vote, please consider doing so. Review a voter registration application, courtesy of the Secretary of State’s office.
Make sure to mark your calendars for Aug. 3 and Nov. 2, 2010 as Michigan election days.
