MPF Royal Pharmacy Faire - Sept. 21, 2019

2019 MPF Royal Pharmacy Faire

2019
September 21
Sat September 21,2019 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM

Hear ye! Hear ye!
Join Michigan Pharmacy Foundation for the Second Annual Royal Pharmacy Faire on Saturday, Sept. 21 at Michigan Pharmacists Association Headquarters, 408 Kalamazoo Plaza, Lansing, Mich. 48933!

Travel back to a time when royalty ruled and commoners gathered in the local Tavern.

At the Royal Pharmacy Faire you will choose which class you will inherit. You may choose to enjoy a royal feast hosted by the King and Queen with Lords, Ladies and other nobility secluded from the peasants. As nobility, you will be served your meal around the King’s table, and because of your social class, you will have the luxury to visit the Tavern throughout the evening. Your meal, ale and wine are included during the feast.

But if you prefer the simple life like that of a merchant or peasant you may break bread and drink ale with the commoners in the lively Tavern for a modest meal and a tankard of ale or glass of wine. Tavern wenches will be happy to get more beverages for you at a reasonable price, but it could cost you a tip! Be aware: Royalty can visit the Tavern, but Tavern-goers cannot visit the Royals. The King and Queen can strip anyone of their social class (after dinner of course).

Additional activities are planned for the evening to bring the Renaissance alive! Servants will be dressed as memorable characters and all are welcome to come dressed in their Renaissance best, only if you choose.

The evening will be packed with entertainment regardless of your social class.

Sponsorship

Sponsorship Options:

King & Queen = $1,000 (includes two royal tickets)

The King and Queen of the castle serve as the hosts of the King’s Feast and the Rulers of Royal Pharmacy Faire! Their royal privileges for the evening include governing the subjects of the kingdom. They have the ability to strip nobility of their royal class and banish them to the Tavern to live the remainder of the evening like a commoner—after the Royal Feast of course! They may also bestow nobility on any commoner should there be room at the King’s Feast. Beware! Power hungry Lords and Ladies might bribe a servant to poison the King and Queen to rob them of their throne but you can always pay to have the royal taster “test” your drink to save the throne.  Your sponsorship includes royal registration for two including the King’s Feast, seated at the head of the royal table, unlimited personal beverages (soda, wine or ale) for the evening, access to the royal taster once at no charge, access to the Tavern at any time, royal ruler privileges including banishment authority and sending anyone in the Kingdom to the stockade but you cannot be taxed, and crowns of course!

Prince & Princess = $750 (includes two royal tickets)

The Prince and Princess are seated at the right hand of the King and Queen. You will be afforded most of the privileges of the King and Queen except you may not banish anyone. Most importantly, you can “inherit” the throne should the King and Queen perish from a devastating tragedy. Royal offspring have been known to conspire to murder their parents to seize the crown. Your sponsorship includes two royal registrations for the royal feast, unlimited personal beverages (soda, wine or ale) for the evening, access to the Tavern at any time, heir to the throne should the King or Queen meet their demise and you may not be banished, sent to the stockade, taxed or murdered!

Tavern Owner = $500 (includes two tavern tickets or one royal ticket)

While you may not “live” among the Royals, as Tavern Owner, you govern the Tavern. You can serve your patrons or order your Tavern wenches to take care of your customers. You cannot be punished by the Royal Family. Sponsorship includes either one Royal registration including the King’s Feast or two Tavern registrations including a modest meal for two that is typical grub served to the commoners, merchants and peasants; unlimited personal drinks (soda, wine or ale) since you own the place. You may be able to send anyone who does not pay their tavern bill or gets to rowdy to the stockade at no cost but only with permission granted by the King or Queen.

Tax Collector = $500 (includes two tavern tickets or one royal ticket)

While you serve at the pleasure of the Royal Family, you can collect “taxes” levied on those sent to the stockade. Sponsorship includes either one Royal registration including the King’s Feast or two Tavern registrations including a modest meal for two that is typical grub served to the commoners, merchants and peasants; two complimentary drinks (soda, wine or ale), you will collect the “taxes” levied on guests to get out of the stockade. You must pay half of the taxes to the Royal Pharmacy Faire Kingdom however, the other half is yours to “spend” throughout the evening. Should you lose favor with the King or Queen, you just might end up in the stockade and your portion of the taxes confiscated by the Royal Family.

Medieval Monk = $500 (includes two tavern tickets or one royal ticket)

The Medieval Monk has the ability to bestow “blessings” upon any guest. Some say the Monk has the ability to bring the dead back to life which is probably why the Royal Family has their own personal Monk in the Kingdom. Sponsorship includes either one Royal registration including the King’s Feast or two Tavern registrations including a modest meal for two that is typical grub served to the commoners, merchants and peasants; two complimentary drinks (soda, wine or ale), you cannot be sent to the stockade or be taxed and holy cross provided to match any outfit! Other than the Royal Family, you are the only person who is exempt from the stockade.
