Promote the Role of the Pharmacist by Getting Involved in Pharmacy Day at the Capitol
posted: 07/28/2010

Each year, MPA and Pharmacy PAC conduct Pharmacy Day at the Capitol on the south capital lawn in Lansing to help promote the clinical expertise pharmacists provide to legislators, their staff and others. Volunteers provide demonstrations in healthy lifestyle practice including wellness demonstrations, blood glucose and blood pressure monitoring, as well as vaccine administration and pharmaceutical waste disposal.

To get involved in this premiere event, volunteer your time or supplies, or consider becoming a sponsor. All contributors will be recognized with on-site signage. Your participation plays an important part in making this event a success and educating legislators on the expanding role and value of pharmacists as a critical member of the health care team.

For additional information, visit the event page on the MPA Web site or contact MPA Professional Practice Assistant Nick Norcross at (517) 377-0251.
