Each year, MPA and Pharmacy PAC conduct Pharmacy Day at the Capitol on the south capital lawn in Lansing to help promote the clinical expertise pharmacists provide to legislators, their staff and others. Volunteers provide demonstrations and information on healthy lifestyle practices including blood glucose and blood pressure monitoring as well as vaccine administration and pharmaceutical waste disposal.
This year’s event will be held Sept. 14. The Local Association Development Committee (LADC) encourages local association members to support this event by awarding supplemental activity points for local member participation. To get involved,
volunteer your time or supplies, or consider
becoming a sponsor. All contributors will be recognized with on-site signage. Your participation plays an important part in making this event a success and educating legislators on the expanding role and value of pharmacists as a critical member of the health care team.
