Third Educational Video Added to FDA Drug Info Rounds Series
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is offering a series of educational training videos designed for practicing clinical and community pharmacists. The program, Drug Info Rounds, seeks to educate pharmacists on FDA-approved medications so they may better inform patients, providing them with up-to-date information and improving their medical decisions.
An additional video was added last week discussing the FDA’s revision of the prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) labels for proton pump inhibitors to include new safety information about a possible increased risk of fractures of the hip, wrist and spine with the use of these medications.
