Register for the First 2011 Immunization Training Program
posted: 04/13/2011

The first Pharmacy-Based Immunization Training program hosted by MPA this year is coming up on May 12 at the Holiday Inn of Marquette. Registration is available online or by calling Marketing & Sales Assistant Cynthia Rowe at (517) 377-0222 through April 29.

Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery is an innovative and interactive training program that teaches pharmacists the skills necessary to become a primary source for vaccine information and administration. The program teaches the basics of immunology and focuses on practice implementation and legal/regulatory issues.

There are two components to the program: a self-study that’s mailed to registrants approximately four weeks prior to the event date and a live training seminar. Successful completion of the self-study will result in 12 hours of continuing education (CE) credit. In addition, successful completion of the live seminar will result in eight additional hours of live CE credit.

For additional information, visit the event page on the MPA Web site.
