As of July 2007, pharmacists are required to earn 10 hours of live pharmacy continuing education (PCE) credit and one hour of pain credit, both requirements inclusive of the 30 hours normally earned. Certified pharmacy technicians must obtain one hour of pharmacy law continuing education (CE) credit every two years.
Pharmacists are reminded that they must have all required CE completed before providing a signature on their licensure renewal.
Take advantage of a number of continuing education opportunities MPA offers before the June 30 licensure renewal deadline.
Online CE programs are available, including presentations and articles. In addition, a number of local associations and regional societies are holding CE events in the coming months. Take advantage of these opportunities to earn live CE by visiting our
online events calendar and clicking on ‘Continuing Education’ at the top to filter out CE events.
