Michigan Board of Pharmacy Evaluating CPE Monitor Program for Tracking CE Credits
The Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) have created a national program called the CPE Monitor, which is an electronic system designed to track pharmacist and pharmacy technician continuing pharmacy education (CPE) credits. It also offers state boards of pharmacy the opportunity to electronically authenticate the CPE units completed by their licensees, rather than requiring pharmacists and technicians to submit their statements of credit as proof of activity completion. MPA would like to inform local associations that the Michigan Board of Pharmacy is still evaluating this program and participation of pharmacists and technicians is strictly voluntary at this time. MPA will provide additional information to members as it becomes available and as the Michigan Board of Pharmacy makes a decision regarding the use of this new system. If you have any questions, please contact MPA Director of Continuing Education Mary Farrington at (517) 377-0234 or Mary@MichiganPharmacists.org
