2010 Michigan Pharmacists Association
Annual Pharmacy Economic Survey
By Jill Cobb, B.A.
This year represents the 49th year of the Annual Economic Survey. For the first time, the Survey was electronic-only and covered all
pharmacy professionals in one, streamlined survey.
Pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and student pharmacists from all practice settings participated in the
2010 Economic Survey to shed light on the current scope of salaries and benefits for the profession in Michigan. Different than previous years, the survey did not focus on demographics or services provided.
The online survey had 1,119 participants, including 849 pharmacists and 110 student pharmacists.
Pharmacy technicians were included in the survey for the first time since 2006 (low participation and previous distribution
methods were among reasons that the technician survey ended), and 128 pharmacy technicians responded.
