Nominate Your Health-System Colleagues Today!

Each year, the Michigan Society of Health-System Pharmacists presents awards to individuals, pharmacy departments and/or regional societies for their participation and involvement in pharmacy promotional events. In addition, they present an award for Pharmacist of the Year and Professional Practice Award.

A description of the awards being presented appears below.

  • Pharmacist of the Year--This award recognizes a pharmacist who is a model in leadership and achievement; is committed to health-system pharmacy; is active in pharmacy organizations; participates in community service; demonstrates innovative practice; has a professional demeanor, integrity and ethics and is a member of MSHP. The award consists of a plaque and complimentary MSHP membership for one year. Click here for the nomination form.

    If you are submitting a nomination for Pharmacist of the Year, please submit a copy of the nominee's resume/curriculum vitae (CV) as an attachment to dianne@michiganpharmacists.org.

  • Professional Practice Award--This award recognizes and honors a pharmacist for his or her involvement and participation in an innovative project (e.g. published research, projects or services implemented) that contributes to professional practice. The award consists of a plaque, a one-year MSHP membership and $300. Click here for the nomination form.

  • President's Award--The purpose of the MSHP President's Award is to recognize the involvement of an individual pharmacist or group of pharmacists in an activity, project and/or service or the commitment of a pharmacist or group of pharmacists to the profession that advances the theme and goal of the MSHP Board/President during the Society year. The theme for 2008 is activism—igniting the flame and passion within oneself and others. Click here for a nomination form.

Award winner(s) must be present at the MSHP Annual Meeting awards ceremony to receive the award. The 2008 MSHP Annual Meeting will be Nov. 14 at the Radisson Hotel in Lansing. The deadline to submit nominations is July 31, 2008.
