Statement
The Mission
of Michigan Society of Health-System Pharmacists is to provide leadership,
support and representation for its members in their provision of pharmaceutical
care and services which foster efficacy, safety and cost effectiveness
of drug use.
The
goals of the Society are to:

Foster
the provision of pharmaceutical care by the pharmaceutical profession.

Develop
model standards for pharmaceutical care which may be used to assess
patient care outcomes including patient satisfaction.

Provide
educational support in preparing pharmacy practitioners.
-
Advocate
the value of pharmacist contributions to patient care.
-
Disseminate
information about implementing pharmaceutical care to pharmacy practitioners.
-
Facilitate
communication among pharmacists, other healthcare team members, governmental
agencies and the public.
-
Promote
research to improve the quality of pharmaceutical care.
-
Identify,
analyze and evaluate health care trends, and provide leadership in
addressing legislative and regulatory initiatives affecting pharmacy
practice.

Promote
organizational leadership and membership.
