The Third Annual MSHP
Residency Conference is designed for residency directors, preceptors,
residents and students committed to improving the residency experience.
Registration closed May 2. For further information, contact MPA

Labun at (517) 377-0222. Refunds will not be granted for no-shows,
cancellations or requests due to inclement weather.
During the day, several
round table discussions will take place, including: creating an effective
residency interview process, integrating ResiTrak into a residency program,
dealing with difficult residents or students, establishing/refining a
rotation , time management/work-life balance, transitioning from resident
to preceptor, motivating your preceptor, establishing a new practice or
practice site, implementing the ASHP 2015 goals, successfully completing
a residency accreditation survey, to BCPS or not to BCPS, how to get involved
with legislative activities, financial planning, how to get involved with
professional organizations and effective evaluating techniques.

Mentorship
in Your Residency
Steve R. Abel, Pharm.D., FASHP, assistant dean for clinical programs,

Each of us is expected to have a mentor who played some role in our
professional and/or personal development. Mentors are generically
classified as older and more experienced than those individuals that
they mentor. This presentation will provide a unique perspective on
mentors, the concept of mentoring, and its value in the development
of one's professional career. |
