Website/Account Login Troubleshooting

  • The website Doesn't Appear Like I Believe it Should
    • To take full advantage of our website features, please check your current Internet browser to ensure that you are using the most up-to-date version. Our website was designed to support the latest browser versions; therefore, if you are using an outdated version, certain functionality may not be available and the website may not appear as it was designed. Most browser versions can be checked by finding the settings menu and then clicking on “About” (About Internet Explorer, About Google Chrome, etc.) in addition, direct links for checking main browser types are available in our user guide.

  • I Do Not Have a website Login
    • If you don't have an account, click on 'Register' on this page to create one. If you are a MPA member, it is crucial for you to use the primary e-mail address that we have on file in your membership record (the same e-mail address that you receive publications such as MPA E-news at). Our website is connected to our membership database, therefore, when you are logged in, you are connected directly to your individual record. Please note that you cannot share an e-mail address with someone else who is a member, or purchase a membership, register for an event, etc. on behalf of another user unless you are logged into their personal account. If you are unsure of what e-mail address we have on file as your primary e-mail, please call our office at (517) 484-1466 or complete the contact form at Your password must be at least 7 characters in length. For security purposes, it it recommended that you include at least one of the following: a capital letter, a special character (i.e., @, #, %) or a number.

  • I Cannot Login to the Site
    • If you forgot your password and need to reset it, please click on 'Reset Password' on this page, enter the e-mail address associated with your account in the box/pop-up provided, and click on "Send Reset Link."  After you submit the request form, check your e-mail; you will receive a link to click on to reset your password. For security reasons, MPA does not know your password, so if you forgot it, resetting your password is the best option to continue using our site.

  • I Cannot Access Members-only Content
    • Members-only pages automatically appear in the site navigation when you are logged in as a member. If you see 'User Login' in the upper right corner of the site as opposed to 'Logout' then you are not currently logged into the site.
    • If you are unable to access members-only pages and your membership is current, several different things could have happened. The most common scenario is that you registered as a website user under a different e-mail address than what MPA has on file as your primary e-mail. It is critical that your username and the primary e-mail address that MPA has listed in your contact record match. If you mistakenly register as a website user under a different e-mail address, the website is unable to connect/speak to the correct contact record that reflects your current membership status.
