MPA offers sponsorship opportunities for the Virtual Annual Convention & Exposition. Sponsors will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis. Sponsors must be confirmed by Feb. 1, 2021.

Distributed to all Convention attendees. MPA will determine ad placement. Four-color, high-resolution advertisements must be received by Feb. 1, 2021. Recommended ad resolution is 300 dots per inch (dpi). Accepted file formats include .pdf, .gif, .jpg, .png or .tif.

Sponsor logo will be included in the agenda that’s displayed on the virtual platform during the weekend. 

ANNUAL BANQUET AND AWARDS CEREMONY - $2,500

The formal installation of MPA’s president is a dignified ceremony on Saturday evening. Sponsors of this event share in the celebration of a grand tradition as the newly sworn-in president presents their inaugural address. Awards are also given to distinguished pharmacy professionals and will be recognized during this event. Sponsor logo will be visible in the virtual auditorium in which event will be held. 

ANNUAL MEETING LOBBY SPONSORSHIP - $5,000

Sponsor logos will be displayed in the virtual lobby. Attendees clicking on the logo will be directed to your company’s booth. 

COFFEE HOUR WITH MPA PRESIDENT HEATHER CHRISTENSEN ON FRIDAY - $2,500

This is an informal opportunity for Convention attendees to talk with President Christensen about her goals for the upcoming year. Sponsor logo will be displayed on screen. 

COFFEE HOUR WITH MPA CEO MARK GLASPER ON SATURDAY - $2,500

Convention attendees will have a chance to meet MPA’s new CEO during this informal meeting. Sponsor logo will be displayed on screen. 

MPA TALENT SHOW - $3,000

MPA members and affiliates will show off their best talent through video submissions. The winner will be acknowledged with popular vote. Sponsor will be allowed to submit a two-minute video that can be accessed by attendees viewing talent show videos throughout the Convention. 

OPENING, KEYNOTE AND CLOSING SESSIONS - $2,500 EACH 

Opening Session

Officially kicking off the Convention is Dr. Parker Crutchfield, Ph.D., associate professor of medical ethics, humanaties and law at Western Michigan University's Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, Mich. In this role, Dr. Crutchfield conducts clinical ethics consultations, teaches medical students and residents, and conducts research in medical ethics. Throughout the pandemic, Dr. Crutchfield was part of a group of medical ethicists that were consulted during the allocation and distribution process of therapeutics. He will speak on the ethics of handling a pandemic and distribution of new therapeutics and vaccine policy specifically related to COVID-19. His presentation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 26. Sponsor will be verbally recognized and logo will be displayed at beginning of program.

Keynote Session

Dr. Jason Wasserman, Ph.D., will deliver the keynote session on the timely topic of health equity and the impact this has on health care. This session will be on Saturday, Feb. 27, at 8:30 a.m. Dr. Wasserman is an associate professor in the Department of Foundational Medical Studies at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in Rochester, Mich. His scholarly work focuses on the medicalization of homelessness, the sociological impacts of the epidemiological transition on medicine, and the influences of neighborhood infrastructures and community networks on health outcomes among the urban poor. Sponsor will be verbally recognized and logo will be displayed at beginning of program.

Closing Session

The Convention’s closing session will feature Paul Osincup, a speaker and self-described positive workplace strategist who helps organizations create happier, healthier and more connected places to work. His presentation on Saturday, Feb. 27, at 4:15 p.m. will focus on how pharmacy professionals can be resilient and battle burnout and stress. Sponsor will be verbally recognized and logo will be displayed at beginning of program.

POST-CONVENTION RECOGNITION - $2,500

The Convention will be available on demand for one month after the live event. Sponsor logo will be included in promotions related to this.

STUDENT SOCIAL - $2,500

The Student Pharmacists Executive Council (SPEC) are planning a virtual student social for Friday evening with a Trivia Challenge to create friendly competition among students from each of the three Michigan colleges of pharmacy. Sponsor will be verbally acknowledged and logo displayed at the event.
