Contribute to the Larry Wagenknecht Scholarship Endowment

Michigan Pharmacists Association’s Chief Executive Officer Larry Wagenknecht will be retiring on Jan. 17, 2021. His contributions to the profession, MPA and its members over the past 37 years are too numerous to list.

The Michigan Pharmacy Foundation (MPF) Board of Trustees and the MPA Executive Board have teamed up to establish the Larry Wagenknecht Scholarship Endowment. The Endowment is designed to create more sustainable MPF scholarships for promising student pharmacists, as well as acknowledge the legacy of a man who has dedicated a significant portion of his life to our professional association. The goal is to collect at least $50,000 in new, endowed funds by Larry’s retirement date to ensure an annual scholarship is available each year in his honor.

Pharmacy professionals, pharmacy-related businesses, professional colleagues and any individuals or businesses that are interested in supporting this worthy cause are encouraged to make a contribution in honor of Larry to help MPF and MPA achieve its goal of $50,000! Any contribution will be meaningful and appreciated. And, it’s a great way to honor the man who will likely hold the title of the longest serving chief executive officer in the history of MPA. Donations can be submitted by downloading a donation form and mailing it to MPF at 408 Kalamazoo Plaza, Lansing, MI  48933, or make a donation online at https://www.MichiganPharmacists.org/foundation/contribute or by texting LARRY2020 to 44- 321. Help MPF help more student pharmacists and demonstrate how much we’ve appreciated the work Larry has done to benefit all of us.
