The Vaccine Adverse Reporting System, Health Resources & Services Administration, Institute for Safe Medication Practices and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are offering a webinar, Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, covering the management of adverse events associated with vaccinations. At the completion of the webinar, participants will be able to identify adverse events that are commonly associated with vaccinations administered to adolescent and adults, discuss strategies on how to properly document and report adverse events related to vaccinations, develop a care plan to avoid and manage adverse events commonly associated with vaccinations and discuss effective strategies for educating patients about adverse events association with vaccinations and techniques to manage them.

 

The target audience for this webinar is pharmacists, with 1.0 hours of continuing education credit available. In order to receive credit for participating, be sure to register online as well as completing the posttest questions by Jan. 17, 2017.
