The third annual MPA Pharmacy Law and Policy Symposium will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Lansing Community College, West Campus, in Lansing. This continuing education event occurs in April each year, offering approximately seven hours of live credit. The 2014 event attracted a record attendance of 174 pharmacy professionals!
The MPA Pharmacy Law and Policy Symposium is intended to provide pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and student pharmacists with information on important legislative and regulatory changes as well as other policy issues that impact their profession. In the past, presentations have included Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) drug trends and diversion efforts, legislative priorities in Michigan, administrative rules and Michigan Medicaid priorities. This year, Joe T. Rannazzisi from the U.S. Department of Justice, DEA, will be back by popular demand as well as presenters from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, MPA and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
