Attend the Most Elegant Event of the Year While Supporting a Charitable Cause

Michigan Pharmacy Foundation (MPF) will be hosting a “red carpet” event on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, at the University Club of Michigan State University in Lansing. The MPF Gala provides an elegant evening with colleagues, family and friends as well as an opportunity to support the Foundation’s efforts, including leadership, education and research. MPF provides scholarships to student pharmacists; supports practitioners through the year-long Leadership Academy; supplies grant funding for projects that advance pharmacy practice and health outcomes; and reaches out to the community through initiatives such as the Operation Care Package Michigan donation drive to supply troops overseas with necessities.

The evening will begin with cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres at 6 p.m. while guests enjoy violinist Alexis Wright. The University Club chef will prepare an exquisite meal that will be served at 7 p.m. Due to popular request, the Capital Green A Cappella group has returned to provide an after dinner performance. The evening will come to a pleasant closure after a few brief announcements and recognitions.

Tickets to the event are $500 per couple or $300 per individual. Purchase tickets online by Sept. 11, 2015. Please note that 50 percent of your contribution to attend is tax-deductible within the limits of IRS rules (Tax ID #38-3122918). Dress for the event is black tie optional.

A block of rooms have been held for MPF Gala guests at the Candlewood Suites, which adjoins the University Club. The hotel has offered a special room rate of $159 plus tax until Aug. 10, 2015. Reservations may be made by calling (517) 351-8181.
