The Michigan Department of Transportation is in the midst of a four-year plan to rebuild the US 127 corridor in the Lansing area. This project may impact your travel plans to ACE for 2026, 2027, and 2028, which will all take place at the Lansing Center.
Currently, the southbound lanes of the highway are being rebuilt from I-496 to the I-96 interchange. Southbound traffic in this area has been shifted to the northbound lanes, which were completed in 2024. The southbound phase of the project is expected to be completed soon.
In 2026, MDOT plans to begin work from Lake Lansing Road north to the I-69 interchange. In spring 2027, US 127 will be rebuilt from I-496 north to Lake Lansing Road, finishing in 2028. Traffic restrictions for these portions of the project have yet to be released.
