Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are member-coordinated groups that focus on a particular area of practice interest. SIGs usually meet and correspond virtually, but space is allotted at the MPA Annual Convention & Exposition for interested SIGs to meet in person. To enroll in one of the SIGs, email the listed staff coordinator to be added to the distribution list. Below are the six SIGs you can get involved with in MPA:

Formerly known as the Independents SIG, the Independent Pharmacy Council currently has more than 50 members who primarily work in independent pharmacy.

The Third Party SIG provides updates related to payer policy and regulatory changes. Additionally, it offers a forum to express concerns related to third-party payers and allow representatives from payer members of the association to respond and elevate these concerns within their organizations.

The 340B SIG provides an opportunity for 340B covered-entities and employees to connect with each other and discuss issues related to the 340B program. SIG members also receive updates related to the program and related advocacy efforts before they are circulated with the general MPA membership through general communications.
