Completing the Pharmacy Tech Prep Online Program
- Completing Your On-the-Job Training Hours
You and your employer are responsible for the on-the-job training requirements. You will be asked to attest to the fact that you have completed the requirements as determined by your employer when you submit your application for graduation. - Taking the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Examination
One of the requirements for graduation from the Pharmacy Tech Prep Online program is successful completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) offered through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). The application to become a certified technician and take the PTCE is done directly through PTCB. You may visit their website at www.PTCB.org for information about how to take the examination. Pharmacy Services Inc. is not involved in the examination process. All fees for the exam must be paid directly to PTCB and are not included as part of the Pharmacy Tech Prep Online enrollment fee. - Obtaining a Pharmacy Technician License in Michigan
After you have passed the PTCB examination, you will need to apply for your Michigan pharmacy technician license. This process is through Michigan’s Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA). The application for a pharmacy technician license can be found on LARA’s website under Pharmacy or by clicking here. Please refer to LARA for all questions about the licensing process. - Applying for Graduation from Pharmacy Tech Prep Online
After you have passed the PTCB examination AND received your Michigan pharmacy technician license, you may apply for graduation from the Pharmacy Tech Prep Online program. Please complete this Application for Program Graduation form and email it to Products@PSI.solutions. PSI will process your graduation application and, if everything is in order, will provide you with a Certificate of Program Completion.
